FAQ
Why is it called Zoho?
Formed as AdventNet in the late ’90s, the company changed its name in 2009 to match its office suite. According to Zoho’s Chief Evangelist, Raju Vegesna, the name is a play on the acronym for Small Office/Home Office.
But there are much more interesting aspects of the company than its name…

Will you answer a technical question even if I'm not a client?
The short answer is yes! We’re always happy to help. Just keep in mind that most of the questions we get are answerable by Google search, and basic questions about functionality are generally answered promptly by the Zoho Help Desk, which you pay for as part of your subscription.
But if we can help, we will. That’s why we’re here.
Do you have a privacy policy?
Of course. We are very conscious of the need for safety and security. You can find our policy on privacy, nondisclosure, and data retention at the link below.

How do we start?
We’ll schedule a free call to make sure we can help and are a good fit. If not, we’ll recommend someone who may be. If so, we’ll forward a basic service contract, which is more like the invoice you sign when the plumber comes to your house than the Apple or Netflix Terms of Service. Our standard contract is very straightforward—and much shorter!
Terms are negotiable. In fact, unlike the big guys, we pride ourselves on not treating everyone the same.
How much does your service cost?
Our basic web design package starts at $950. Our most affordable Zoho support package is $445/month when booked on contract. See service pages for more information.
The cost for custom configuration, coding, app integrations, and other advanced services vary depending on requirements, but there are no surprises. Rates are set up front based on the type of work and the length of the engagement. As with any product, the more you buy, the lower the unit price tends to be.
Wondering how that compares?
Typical rates in the Zoho space are covered in the link below.

How do you keep track of time?
Zoho! They have a wonderful app called Projects that lets you define tasks and milestones, assign owners and due dates, and track time with a start-and-stop timer. Time sheets flow directly to Zoho Books for easy billing, and projects can be shared across organizations, so clients on Zoho One can audit our time cards at any time, day or night.
Can you provide references?
We can! We’re proud of the service we give, and references are available. However, we respect our past and present clients too much to bother them unless absolutely necessary. Therefore, references are generally not provided until after we’ve covered the basics and are reviewing a contract.
