Campaigns!

Jumping two ranks from Tier 3 to Tier 1, Zoho Campaigns is definitely a serious contender in the email marketing space.

In 2022, we configured Campaigns for several clients and even ran a head-to-head test against industry leader Mailchimp using a 15,000-person list. Results were comparable, and we were able to save the client several thousand dollars in redundant fees.

What’s the big deal?

Several years back, Campaigns was a mess. While the platform itself was technically sound (minus a few complaints), Zoho did not do enough to police it, and scammers flocked.

The result? Zoho’s servers got blacklisted, meaning anything sent from them had a very high chance of ending in spam, making Campaigns effectively useless as a marketing tool, despite its features.

Zoho immediately began a process of remediation. They started a review process, requiring new senders to have content approved (until there was a positive track record). They integrated ZeroBounce, an email scrubbing tool, at no additional cost. And so on.

However, since email deliverability is all reputation-based, those efforts took a long time to produce results.
